About
Delphine Pontvieux was born and raised in France, but is a proud global citizen and traveler. A multi-linguist, she studied and lived in Spain, the Netherlands, Australia and the USA - before making Chicago her home in 1998.
It was in the 'City of Broad Shoulders' that she was spotted by a talent agent who urged her to start auditioning for roles. In her first film, "LOL- Laughing Out Loud" (Lionsgate - Dir. Lisa Azuelos) starring Demi Moore and Miley Cyrus, Delphine played the role of a quirky French aristocrat and Joan of Arc fanatic, who hosts Cyrus’s character during her end-of-school year trip to Paris.
Acting and voiceover training developed Delphine's skills and she was cast In the horror movie “Sinister 2” (Focus - Dir. Ciaran Foy) as a mother murdered by her child. And since 2015 she's had a featured, recurrent non-speaking role in the powerful TV drama series “Empire".
A genuine renaissance woman, Delphine is also a scuba instructor, cave/technical diver, ocean conservationist, and published author of short stories, magazine articles, and a thriller, “ETA-Estimated Time of Arrest” - winner of two literary awards. In 2012 she founded NYET Jewelry, her collection of hand-designed and crafted leather jewelry and accessories.
